Preparing for your session!

Boudoir photography is an experience – and that starts from the moment you book the session.

To ensure everything goes as planned, we’ve provided a list of things you should consider. Everyone’s boudoir session is different – it’s personal, and it’s for you – so this list may or may not be appropriate. Use it as a guide only.

You have the option to be photographed in multiple outfits.

  • Pick outfits that make you feel confident and sexy.
  • Consider lingerie, bodysuits, robes, oversized shirts, or even a cosy sweater for variety.
  • Stick to colours that flatter your skin tone and avoid anything too tight or uncomfortable.
  • Moisturise your skin for a soft, glowing look.
  • Wax/shave (if preferred) a couple of days before to avoid irritation.
  • Touch up nails (hands and feet) – neutral or classic colours work best.
  • We do not recommend spray tans.

High resolution professional cameras can pick up incredible amounts of detail, including blotchiness and uneven colours, tone and texture which is often present with spray tans. We will not be responsible for touching up photos where spray tan is present.

  • We strongly recommend you get your hair, and especially your makeup, done by a professional that understands how makeup photographs.
  • Go for soft waves or a tousled look for a romantic feel.
  • Makeup should be natural but enhanced – bold lips or sultry eyes are great choices.
  • Simple jewellery (hoops, pearls, delicate chains) adds elegance.
  • Heels, thigh-high stockings, or barefoot—choose what fits your style.
  • If opting for heels, we suggest a thin heel rather than chunky, and avoid thick ankle straps and square toes.
  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin fresh.
  • Get good sleep the night before to avoid tired eyes.
  • Avoid alcohol or salty foods right before to reduce bloating.

  • Play your favourite music while getting ready.
  • Bring a robe to wear between shots for comfort.

Boudoir Photography FAQs

All boudoir photoshoots are done in selected Airbnb locations. These locations have been chosen for their decor, lighting, cleanliness and other elements that help us bring your photos to life.

We’ll let you know the address once you’ve booked your session. The address will be local to where you live.

Throughout your session, we’ll provide guidance to help you feel comfortable, confident, and beautifully positioned in every shot. Each pose is tailored to flatter your unique features and reflect your personality.

Use what you see on our website and socials to practice in front of a mirror.

Depending on the package, it may include multiple outfit changes/looks.

We count an outfit/look when you need to leave the room to change, or change into an entirely new outfit or new set of clothing.

For example, you may start the shoot in a shirt, pair of jeans and black underwear. Over the first half of the shoot, you remove pieces of clothing such as the shirt and jeans. This doesn’t count a new outfit/look, as you’re still in the original clothing you started with.

For the second half of the shoot, you’d like to be photographed in red underwear. This involved stopping the shoot so you can change into a new outfit/look. This would count as a new outfit/look.

Although hair and makeup can be quickly touched up during outfit changes, there is no time for entirely new hair and makeup looks. What you receive initially is what you’ll have for the entire shoot.

We certainly do! You’ll need to pay a small deposit up front to confirm your booking. Once you’ve paid this deposit and signed the contracts, the remainder can be paid via direct debit payment plans – over a period no longer than 6 months.

There are no additional costs involved.

It’s important to keep in mind, however, that we must receive full payment before your shoot takes place. E.g. if you choose to pay it off over the entire 6 months, then your shoot can’t take place for at least 6 months.

If you’re struggling to keep up with the current payment plan, please let us know as soon as possible, and we can arrange a once-off restructure to your plan – which will reduce the amount you pay on a weekly/monthly basis.

Unfortunately not, and we have no plans to introduce them. If you’d like to pay off your photoshoot over time, then we can organise a payment plan for you.

Unless your explicit consent is given, your photos are 100% private and will never be posted online. They are for you, and you alone. Only you can choose who to share them with.

In some cases, we may request permission from you to post your images online, or use them on our website – but this is your decision, and you will never be pressured into it. Assuming you agree, you will need to complete and sign a separate model release form.
